Dr Sally Ward, chartered clinical psychologist in Yorkshire

patients

I see adults who want help with problems such as

  • Depression
  • Anxiety / Panic problems
  • Phobic disorders
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Stress

I offer an evidence-based effective therapeutic intervention called Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy. This treatment is recommended by the Department of Health as being the treatment of choice for post trauma psychological disorders, depression and anxiety based disorders.

I usually offer appointments within two weeks of referral or enquiry and the treatment typically consists of somewhere between six and fifteen 55-minute sessions depending on the severity of the disorder.

I see people on a private basis.

Fees are £80 for the initial assessment and £65 for every 55 minute session of therapy thereafter.

I am registered with various different private healthcare companies such as AXA PPP and Norwich Union Healthcare etc. (Some companies require you to have a referral from a Consultant Psychiatrist.)

I see people for therapy at the Wharfedale Psychology and Psychotherapy Practice in Otley, West Yorkshire. People travel from Addingham, Ikley, Leeds and Bradford and the surrounding region and also from Harrogate, Knaresborough and Pateley Bridge. We provide comfortable and peaceful surroundings close to the centre of the town and with easy parking nearby.

Other therapists at the Wharfedale Psychology & Psychotherapy Practice also see adults and use other therapies to treat different issues. We also have therapists trained to see children, to see families and to see couples. For more information please see further details on our Practice website HERE
